"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
Happy Easter to all, to me this message and this Holy Day is the most important in the Christian world because represents the promise and the fulfillment of the plan of the Lord for our eternal happiness. The atonement of Christ makes possible for all
human beings to repent and try to be better every day.
To celebrate this happy occasion in history, I made this painting of the Garden Tomb.
Watercolor in arches watercolor paper 300 lb 18X23 inches.
Have a wonderful Easter Sunday
It has been a month since I made a post and a year since last time I made a real painting. Last time was the day my grandma died, I was finishing a painting and for some reason life got busy and I had different priorities. Finally the day to return to my real true love has come and with the person I love the most after my parents and my own family, Grandma.
She was an amazing person and I was thinking about doing this for a long time as a tribute to her, but I was so afraid of the challenge I had never paint a person in my life. I got a book about portraits in watercolor and I watch several videos on You Tube (I love I can learn any thing there), and then I just did it.
click on the play button so you can see the painting in progress.
As you can see I used a picture to guide me.
Wow, I did not know I could do something like this, it is not perfect but I am so please with the result.
It feels so good to paint again.
Have a wonderful week
Could you remember my visit to Mexico last summer (2013) I make a post about this place
Well Last March I made this painting and I forgot to publish the post. Finally it is here for you.
I finished it the morning Grandma went to Heaven. That evening I flew to Mexico to say good by to her.
I hope you like it.
Last October I painted this magnolias.
For long time I had been pondering about them and finally I decided to re-done them.
I was not fully convinced by the colors I used then, and I knew it was not real deep and power on them.
Watercolor on Archers paper 140 lb 15x22".
I think now they look more like a real DarletteCraft.
have a wonderful weekend.
I made this cards following directions from a tutorial in you tube, I love it because it is 3D and fits in a regular A2 envelope.
for the balloons I use watercolor paper and my watercolors and mix family colors together to have different shades and effects, then I die cut some oval frames to make some balloon shapes.
This one is a different stile for the same card for my nice that is turning 4.
For long time I wanted a painting of some Nochebuenas or Poinsettias to decorate my walls for Christmas and winter time; back in January I painted this single one as a gift.
Watercolor in Archers paper 140 lb 15"x22".
Here a slideshow of the work in progress.
I hope you like my Nochebuenas as much as I do.
