Have a nice day
Last week waiting to recover from my surgery I remembered a special person in my life I want to say thanks, so the best way I know to say that after opening my heart and mouth is to paint something, so I decide to paint a "Nochebuena" or Poinsettia as we said in America.
This is the original flower my sister give to me last month.
Framed and ready to go. This is my first watercolor of 2013.
Have a nice day
Life is life, and after all the craziness of this month, a small surgery and the good bye of my parents I have time to edit and post some pictures of what I made this month.
I made this quilt for my soon to be born nice.
I used a pattern from Camille Roskelley's book, Simplify, called "little man" I just modified a little and added the borders of the alphabet panel. Then I personalized it with my embroidery machine: "L is for" "Leilani". Finally I machine-quilted the entire piece with leafs.
I used minky fabric for the back.
I used a coordinated panel for the wall hanging quilt.
I hope little Leilani will like it.
Have a good Day
I did not had a chance to show you what I made as a Christmas presents for my friends and family.
It is a Perpetual Calendar made in an accordion book format I edited my watercolors with Photoshop and added the name of the months and dates, in one side we have from January to June and the other side have July to December.
I used Chipboard, handmade paper as Thai Unryu and Ogura lace paper, PVA adhesive, baker's twine and brads.
Finally, with the print proofs I made tags for the presents.
Have a wonderful weekend.
